Welcome to Woodgate Farm

Nestled in the heart of the beautiful Shropshire countryside, Woodgate Farm is a peaceful working farm offering guests the chance to slow down, relax and enjoy everything this wonderful corner of the country has to offer.

Owned and run by Claire and Richard Hough, Woodgate Farm became home to our family in 2025 when we moved back to the area to continue expanding our family farming business and create a place where guests could experience the beauty and tranquillity of rural life.

Whether you choose to stay at The Byre at Woodgate Farm or our peaceful Caravan and Motorhome Club CL site, you’ll find yourself surrounded by rolling hills, beautiful countryside and wonderful walks straight from the doorstep.

As a working farm, you may spot sheep grazing in the fields, tractors busy with seasonal jobs and our much-loved Ryeland sheep enjoying life around the farm. We think this is all part of the charm and character that makes Woodgate Farm such a special place to stay.

Dogs are very welcome and, with countless walks nearby and open countryside all around, there are plenty of opportunities for both two-legged and four-legged guests to enjoy their stay. Claire is also the owner of Clever Clogs Canine Training, an established dog training business, and training sessions may be available during your stay, subject to availability.

Woodgate Farm is proudly linked to our wider family farming business and Hough & Sons Butchers in Church Stretton, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy locally produced meat, pies, cold meats and other delicious treats during their stay.
